For those just starting the sport, Newport Badminton Club provide all the latest equipment, kindly provided by one of their sponsors, Babolat. Each session is only £2 with the first night free to encourage children to come and try the sport.

“I am delighted to announce the launch of Newport’s only junior badminton club and coaching.”
“Our sponsors Newtown Motors are helping us foster the next generation of talent in Wales, and increase participation in sport.”
Fiach O’Rourke, himself an ex-Irish International player, brought in Carissa Turner, the current Welsh Ladies number one, to be Head Coach.
