A Note From the CEO:
I hope you are well and adjusting to the significant challenges and changes in the way we are all living our lives.
It’s been a few days since I last provided an update from Badminton Wales. I am conscious that communication is vital at these times and I will provide a weekly update from Badminton Wales.
All of the Badminton Wales Team are working digitally across all areas of the National Governing Body. The Team are fully contactable on their Badminton Wales e-mails – you can find our contact details on the BW website.
Badminton Wales will continue to engage with our members throughout the coming weeks as we look to support you through these challenging times. Please check our website and social media platforms for all of the latest information as well as articles, photos and videos from our Team and Badminton Family.
As we all know sport is so important so whilst we are all adjusting we must remember how important it is to keep active, exercise (within official guidelines), and look after our physical and mental health.
The following external links provide some excellent advice and guidance around maintaining your physical and mental well-being:
- Age Cymru has information about staying safe during the COVID-19 outbreak as well as on how to prevent loneliness during periods of self-isolation.
- The British Heart Foundation has some great links and resources for those looking for advice on how to stay healthy during periods of self-isolation.
- The Mental Health Foundation has advice for people concerned about how the COVID-19 outbreak and self-isolation may impact on their mental health.
- Mind has advice for people who might be worried about coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it could affect your life.
This is a challenging time for the Badminton community in Wales but please rest assured that Badminton Wales are still here for you. Any query – big or small – the Team will be more than happy to help you. Please keep in touch and as ever we encourage you to please remain up to date with the latest health advice from Public-Health Wales.
