WBU Ltd Board of Directors

The WBU Ltd Board of Directors is the key decision making body for the organisation. 

Our board is composed of the following members:

KSP Kerry Ann Sheppard (Chair)  
Kerry Ann currently works for Eversheds, LLP, specialising in business improvement and development. Kerry Ann has project managed aspects of many multi-million pound legal transactions that have crossed multiple jurisdictions. Prior to the career change, Kerry Ann worked for RCT Council where she lead a team of very talented sport and leisure development professionals in driving change and achieving increased levels of sports participation across some of the most deprived communities in Wales. Kerry Ann is also a former international badminton player, with experience competing at World, European, and Commonwealth Games.
CathM Catherine McCluskey (Vice Chair) 
Catherine is an experienced sports development professional, presently working for UWE, Bristol where she manages the sport development team, and has strategic responsibility for the development of sport at all levels. Catherine represented Wales in badminton throughout her teenage years, before embarking on the educational route of sport development and coaching. Currently, Catherine is the lead tutor for Badminton Wales, training new coaches across the country. Through her additional 
experience as a Sports Therapist, she has worked with the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey team, expanding her knowledge of liaising with many personalities and challenges in the professional arena.
Hefin Hefin Archer Williams (Legal)  
Hefin is currently a commercial litigation lawyer at Slater & Gordon, Cardiff. His expertise covers dispute resolutions between individuals, companies and public bodies throughout the UK. He specialises in contract and financial matters, including property litigation, professional negligence and chancery matters. On top of this, he has a wealth of knowledge of acting for sports men and women in contract negotiations, disputes with clubs, disciplinary hearings, selection and sponsorship matters. He is regularly called upon by the BBC to offer expert opinion on legal matters relating to sports law.
ABevs2 Ann Bevan (Performance)  
Ann has worked at Sport Wales for over 10 years and has been in her current role as High Performance Advisor since 2011. Over the past Commonwealth Cycle, Ann has worked with Welsh Gymnastics, Cycling, Boxing, Bowls and Disability which has all helped contribute to Wales' most successful Games, with these sports alone contributing 21 medals out of the total 36. Her next focus is to ensure that successful performance systems are put in place that will ultimately deliver medals for Wales in the Gold Coast and beyond. Ann is a keen supporter of sport and has a wealth of experience as a player, educator and parent. 
140 Catrin Devonald (Communications & Marketing)
Catrin is Head of Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support in Wales and the West Midlands, which means leading a team of 27 people to deliver circa £20 million per annum income to support people affected by cancer. Catrin previously worked in the not for profit sector starting her career in sports development and has worked with a number of Sports governing bodies. Following a break to complete an MBA she moved into the charity sector with the National Trust as a marketing manager to attract new supporters to the organisation. Her MBA focused on communications and benefits packages in membership organisations which has led the way for charities to change their supporter journeys.
Dewi James
Dewi Ap Gwyndaf James (Finance)
Dewi is currently a Finance Manager in Cardiff University where he manages the finance of an academic school.  He has experience in both non-profit and for profit companies having previously worked as a finance manager in the power generation industry.  He has a keen interest in all sports and the benefits they can bring to communities.
