The draw is now out for the Welshpool Junior Open Plus.

BW Medals

Saturday the 29th October sees the U13 and U17 events take place, while Sunday 30th October will see the U15 and U19 groups compete.
This tournament promises to be as exciting as the Junior Nationals where the top Welsh players battle it out for a title, but in Welshpool they will also have to compete against English competitors to take home a medal.

In the U13's Matthew Logan and Saffron Morris head up the Singles seedings. The Girls Singles is one group of 4 while the Boys sees 2 groups of 4 competing to go through to an elimination round. The Boys Doubles winner and runner up will be decided by overall group results and Girls Doubles will be a straight Final.

The U17's Boys Singles consists of 1 group of 5 with Morgan Harding as top seed. Sixe entries in the Girls Singles sees the entries split in to two groups of 3 with the top 2 from each group making it through to the Semi Finals. Abi Cottril is number 1 seed and Jasmine Owen is second. Again both the Boys and Girls Doubles will be a straight Final and the Mixed a group of 3 pairs.

The U15's Boys Singles sees the biggest entry of the tournament with 17 competitors. Adil Khan heads up the seeding list but he will face stiff competition from fellow seeds; Daniel Kite, Jonathan Ewins and Archie Bult in the battle for the title.
The Girls Singles will be just as exciting as the 6 girls all compete in group stages ahead of elimination rounds and it really is too close to call. Archie Bult & Jonathan Ewins are the seeds in Group A while Daniel Kite & Adil Khan are seeds of Group B in the Boys Doubles. But they should expect a tough time getting out the group to advance to the Semi Finals.
Freya Cottrill & Jasmine Owen are seeded in the Girls Doubles and will hope to go home with Gold.
The Mixed Doubles will conclude the day and promises to be as competitive as ever with a group of 5 pairs, of which Daniel Kite & Jasmine Owen are seeded first.

The U19 Boys and Girls Singles winner will be decided by the overall group results where Michael Pritchard and Abi Cottrill are top seeds. The two Singles seeds will then pair up in an attempt to take home the Mixed Doubles title too.

We wish all competitors the best of luck and look forward to enjoying the top quality matches which they are sure to provide.
