Welsh 4 Nations Para-Badminton Champs

This weekend sees Badminton Wales hosting our first major event of the 2015/16 season; the Welsh 4 Nations Para-Badminton Championships. The event will be held at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales.

This year’s event looks to be our biggest and most promising one yet, with over 90 athletes taking part from all over the UK. Included in this crop of talented individuals, is Wales’ own ‘Special Olympics Champ,’ Lloyd Crawley, who will be looking to continue his winning streak in the LD category after a fantastic season last year.

There are plenty of other great contenders for this year’s event across all categories, so it’ll definitely be worth coming down to Sophia Gardens to catch some top quality badminton at its best! Anyone and everyone are welcome to watch, and best of all: Entry is FREE!

The tournament kicks off at 6pm on Friday 21st August, and will continue throughout the weekend till Sunday afternoon.

We are still looking for volunteers to help score some matches. Any help would be appreciated – even if you can only offer a couple of hours. Please get in touch with Lucie Gwilt.
