U15 Quadrangular 2016

This weekend sees an U15 Welsh team travel to Glasgow for the annual 4 Home Nations Quadrangular. In spite of twice winning the UK school games team title, Wales have come close over the years but it’s been quite some time since this particular title was achieved. The format of the games requires real strength in depth throughout a team of 5 boys and 5 girls. The team event will take place today (Friday) followed by individual events on Saturday and Sunday. For many of the players this will be a first time experience in such a high profile team event but they have enough talent to do themselves and Wales proud.

Performance Director and National Coach, Matthew Hughes, wishes the Juniors luck ahead of the event in saying;  " Its the highlight of many junior players year getting selected to play and represent your country at the U15 Quadrangular. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the players the best of luck and put in some good performances and come back with some wins under their belt. Thank you to our dedicated coaching team Nic Strange and Neil Cottrill who will be coaching the players this weekend and to all the parents for their ongoing support."

The team is:

Boys:  Oliver Stansfield, Dafydd Price, Iwan Price, Morgan Harding, Michael Pritchard

Girls:  Aimie Whiteman, Bethany Jones, Kelly Yip, Lowri Hart, Abi Cottrill

Coaches:  Nic Strange, Neil Cottrill

Special thanks goes to parent Alison Price for offering her assistance with the team over the weekend.

A huge GOOD LUCK to all players from the Badminton Wales team!
