The Swansea Junior Shuttle took place last weekend at Pentrehafod Sports Centre, Swansea.

Pembroke player Ashwin Gurasecaren beat Gwent’s Ewan Price 15-8, 15-9 to lift the U13 boys’ singles. Nikhil Mathias paired up with Rakshith Vijay to take the boys doubles title. The boys won every game in their box defeating Dylan Colmer and Ian Ren 21-17 in the decisive match. Onto the girls singles and it was Eleanor Downes who prevailed over Charlotte Baguley in the final 16-14, 15-9. Eleanor teamed up with Emma Cox to also add the girls’ doubles title to their names. Not a bad week for Eleanor who was also the U13 girls’ singles and doubles champion at Carmarthen a week earlier.

Dewi Au Yeung overcame William Hughes in the final of the U15 boys singles. Dewi won 15-6, 15-8. Youngster Lowri Hart showed her class by winning the U15 girls singles with Isobel Adams finishing in 2nd place. Lowri added a second title picking with the girls doubles. Partnering Katie Sullivan they defeated Charlotte Baguley and Robbyn Brookes 21-13. Tomos Jones and Lewis Richards made it 2 wins from 3 so far this year by claiming the U15 boys doubles title.
