South Powys

The South Powys Shuttle took place at Brecon Leisure Centre and Brecon High School on Sunday 1st December. The High School hall was necessary as entries soared to 76 with players travelling from all regions of South Wales and Herefordshire.

The U11 event attracted 10 boys with Daniel Kite (Pembrokeshire) beating Max Williams (Herefordshire). Daniel then went on to take the doubles title partnered by Alexander Poe (Powys) beating Josh Phillips and Joe Howells (Herefordshire).

The U13 boys singles of 13 boys was won by Ian Ren (S Glam) beating William Summors (Gwent). Ian went on to win the doubles with his partner Dylan Colmer. Lydia Morris (Gwent) won the girls singles over Lucy Parker (Herefordshire) and then Lydia and Lucie Whiteman (Gwent) won the doubles. 8 girls competed in this section.

The U15 was a strongly fought age group with 16 players competing in the boys. Brandon Evans (Swansea) eventually beat Rhys Cadwallader Jones (Powys) in a closely fought three game match. The doubles was won by Tomas Jones and Lewis Richards (S Glam) who beat Rhys Cadwallader Jones and Rory Brown (Powys). The girls event was won by Isobel Adams (Gwent) with the doubles being won by Charlotte Baguley and Robbyn Brookes (S Glam) beating Georgia Jones and Molly Roberts (Powys).

In the U17 age group was won by Matthew Reynolds (Powys) with Matthew and Ben Jones (Powys) winning the doubles. Larissa Meighan Davies (Powys) won the singles with Olivia Samuels and Isobel Adams (Gwent) winning the doubles.
