Saffron was seeded as No.1 for the Girls Singles event and her first game was against Leicestershire’s Carly Stevenson where  Saffron played two very good games, coming out on top 21-10, 21-12.
Next up was Sristi Saravana from Middlesex; Saffron took the first game convincingly 21-10 but t he second proved closer with errors creeping in from both players, however the end result saw Saffron prevail 21-17 and secured her a place in the Semi Finals.
Saffron then joined up with Jasprit Marr for the Girls Doubles.
The scratch pair won both Group Games convincingly, firstly against Scotland's Brooke Stalker and Katrina Chen 21-7,21-16 followed by a win against  Sofia Bao and Emily Chen 21-10,21-13.
The reward for winning the group was a game against the English No1 & 2 players; Leona Lee and Tashvi Parab.
Saffron and Jasprit put up a great display with plenty of long rallies, surprising the established and experienced pair. However despite their efforts the lost the  match 21-12,21-15 and Lee and Parab went on to win the tournament.

Sunday provided some great experience as the Semi Final opponent Gopika Leneesh had not dropped a game the whole tournament, but neither had Saffron. After  Two close games with plenty of power shown by both girls, Saffron triumphed and reached her first Gold Final winning 21-17,21-18.
The Final saw Saffron against Sanya Nayeck, who had earlier defeated No 2 seed Sofia Bao in the Semi Final.
Saffron saved her best performance of the weekend until last playing with great power and maturity completely outplaying her opponent.  Saffrons shot selection and movement around the court were a pleasure to watch, she took the Gold with a 21-13,21-10 victory.
