Middlesex Senior Gold

Unseeded Daniel Font enjoyed two good days at the Middlesex Senior tournament and dominated the event, beating the top seed and the 3/4 seed en route to the final. In spite of losing the first game in the final Font easily won the next two to take the title, a nice boost for the Flintshire player.

Aimee Moran lost out to Claire Weaver 22-20 in the 3rd set in the quarter finals with Weaver contesting the final later whilst new pairing of Nic Strange and Oliver Gwilt could make no impact on second seeds George and Tonks.

Elsewhere in the Swiss Open Carissa Turner found Delphine Lansac (France) too hot to handle in the singles but enjoyed two good games with German partner Alina Hammes winning one and losing the other despite taking the first two sets.
