ECLP Communities First transition week summer program

Badminton Wales is working together with East Cardiff, Llanedeyrn and Pentwyn Communities First to deliver badminton during the Eastern High transition week summer program. On Monday 17th August, families can go along and try badminton in the sports hall at Eastern High School between 11am - 2pm. 

There will be activities/sessions on all week including:

  • Badminton 
  • Netball
  • Golf
  • Rugby
  • Cake decorating
  • First aid 
  • Sun screen awareness 
  • Cheerleading 

The transition week will involve many different partners and organisations, all working together to deliver a community based event, which include, Communities First, Sport Cardiff Met, Eastern High School, South Wales Police, Careers, Cardiff and Vale College and many NGB’s including Badminton Wales.  

Sport Coordinator, Lorraine Rye, commented,

"This is an ideal opportunity to showcase badminton as the fun, family sport that it is and to be part of the community project."
