In light of the UK Government’s most recent advice I wanted to take this opportunity to send everyone connected with the Badminton Wales an update.
Clearly our first concern is for all of our members, staff and players, to make sure we do whatever we can to ensure you are as safe as possible.
I am sure you will have already received information regarding the best steps you can take to protect yourself and others, and I urge everybody to follow these as best they can. It’s so important we all take proactive, preventative measures to mitigate the spread of this virus and the strain on the health service.

As of 18th March 2020 the Badminton Wales Office will be closed and the BW Staff and Coaches will work from home. The BW Performance Programme including Regional and High Performance training Academies, Squad Camps and competitions are suspended until further notice. Badminton Wales will continue to monitor this situation on a day-by-day basis and will continue to provide updates when appropriate.
Badminton Wales urges all its member clubs and counties to consider the suspension of their current competitions and leagues until further notice.
