Eryl Hooson‘s starring role unable to prevent Holywell’s defeat by Llanferres

n the North East Wales Badminton League Division 2 fixture between home team Holywell A and Llanferres B, the visitors prevailed with a narrow 5 – 3 win. Eryl Hooson starred for Holywell and at second mixed with Anne Booth was involved in an exciting three game match against the experienced pairing of Gill Tustain and Peter Williams. With Hooson and Booth winning the first game 21/19, Williams and Tustain dug in and fought back in the second taking it 21/13....

Junior Welsh Stars were out in force at the weekend with players competing in Warwickshire, Yorkshire and at the Glasgow International Youth Festival.
