Events - Junior Shuttle Circuit Finals

Despite the bad weather the BW Junior Shuttle Circuit Finals took place at Flash Leisure Centre, Welshpool on Saturday 23rd March 2013. The heavy overnight snowfall made some journeys very treacherous, however the majority of qualifying players still managed to make the trip.

In the Under 11 event recent Junior National boys singles runner up Michael Pritchard took the title with Cheshire’s Oliver Harrington finishing in second place. After dominating the North Wales U11 girls singles circuit, Lili Thomas picked up the U11 girls singles title defeating Lydia Morris 15/7 15/13.

Alexander Farrow won the U13 boys singles title with a good win over Fraser Wilde at the semi final stage before progressing to defeat Daniel Jennings in the final 15/13 15/7. Aileen Cook had few problems winning the U13 girls singles. Isobel Adams took the silver with Helayna Birkett and Katy Harrington finishing in third and fourth position respectively. With just the one withdrawal in the U13 boys doubles, Daniel Jennings and Ryan Williams picked up the title prevailing over Stephen Jong and Alexander Farrow 15/13 18/16.

Despite losing to doubles partner Fraser Sudder in the group, Aiden Short went on to win all his remaining matches and be crowned U15 boys singles winner. Patrick Gregson took second with Fraser Sudder third.

Luke Pierce added the U17 boys singles title to his name with a good win in the final against Kevin Mohan 15/11 15/9.
