Conwy's Commonwealth and Paralympic Day

On the 23rd June, Conwy County Borough Council ran the Commonwealth and Paralympic Day for all of the Conwy primary schools. There were many sports which the children could get involved with including; Hockey, Water Polo, Athletics, Wheelchair Basketball, Golf, Rugby, Orienteering, Squash, Tennis and most importantly BADMINTON! ...

There are relatively few sports that can be played and enjoyed for a lifetime however badminton fits the bill beautifully as one that can. Up in Conwy each week, a group of ladies enjoy playing competitive games and demonstrating that where there is a will there is a way. The Penley Cluster Primary School Children have enjoyed Bisi Badminton delivery within their schools for five weeks. Each school was invited to attend one of two Bisi Badminton Festivals held at The Maelor School, Penley. 168 primary school children from six schools attended the festivals and the pupils thoroughly enjoyed themselves. ...
